STUDIO INFO/POLICIES

The Studio is Located at 189 Commercial Street, in the south end of Nanaimo. 
There is street parking out front, a parkade just around the corner on Skinner street and one below on Front Street.
Please make sure you leave yourself enough time to find parking before your scheduled appointment time.

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
Please arrive for your colour service with dry, and preferably clean hair. 1-2 day (non-shampooed) hair is not a make or break but it is not ideal to show up with week old hair. Buildup can develop which can affect the outcome of your colour service.

DRESS APPROPRIATELY
Please don’t wear your best clothes to the Salon. Dress like you would if you were painting your house! We do our very best to keep the paint on your hair but please wear clothes that are not important to you.

CANCELLATION & NO SHOW POLICY:
We value your time as much as we value our own; in order to continue providing the best possible scheduling options to my guests, we require 48 hours notice should you need to cancel or reschedule your visit with me. This must be done via phone or email. Failure to provide 48 hours will result in a cancellation fee for 50% of your original service before rebooking or loss of your deposit.

RETAINER / DEPOSIT:
All Extension services require a deposit of 50%.
This is non refundable.

RUNNING LATE: 
I understand that sometimes we can not control traffic, getting kids out of the house on time or your coffee shop taking a bit longer on your order. When I schedule an appointment I make sure to book a 10 minute buffer because I know things happen. If you are running any later than 10 minutes we may need to adjust to a smaller service in order for me to run on time for my other appointments. If you run later than 10 minutes then we may have to reschedule your appointment for a later date and a 50% booking value fee will apply.

Please make sure you check google maps for estimated travel time and allow a 15 minute time buffer in case traffic conditions change. It is extremely important that clients are punctual for their appointment.

SERVICE ADJUSTMENTS: 
I strive to offer my guests the highest level of guest satisfaction. If you are having challenges with your cut or colour, let me know within 7 days of your visit and I'm happy to correct the issue with no additional charge.

REFUNDS:
Refunds are not offered on services or retail purchases ( once product has been opened). I am more than happy to adjust services at no cost within the 7 Day adjustment period. An adjustment is things like a tone change, a little shorter fringe etc. this does not include a whole new or second service to achieve a goal that requires more than one session.

HONEST COMMUNICATION
I am are going to tell you the honest truth about your hair. I will explain what I can do and the journey it takes to get to your DREAM hair.  In order to give you the best possible results, I require you to tell as much of your hair history as you remember! We love information. The more detail, the better

CONSULTATION AND KNOWING WHAT TO BOOK
All NEW colour clients must fill out a new client form.  I can also offer “facetime” consultations.  If you're pressed for time and can’t make it to the salon this is a great option. Not all desired services can have a face time consultation and an in person one may be required to book. 

BLEACH
Yes, bleach. I use it regularly to create those ‘grammable colours. I am experienced and stay on top of education, so I do  understand how to use bleach properly. The truth is, as with any high corroding product, it can cause damage to the hair and chemically treated hair always feels a little different then natural hair. During the initial consultation I will determine the most ideal plan to achieve your desired goal while maintaining your hairs integrity best I can.

HAIR CARE
To maintain the results for as long as possible, and continue repairing the hair it is very important to continue the process at home. Unfortunately drug store and products from winners won’t do the trick. I can’t guarantee any colour longevity or result if you are not using recommended home care. I advise trying a mask with your shampoo.

COLOUR FADING
All colours fade. While this can be hard to hear, it is the reality.  Everyone Hair will fade at a different rate, and this will depend on many different factors:

How many times you wash your hair a week, which products you are using, do you swim etc?

In order to maintain your beautiful colour it may require on-going visits to the salon.

SUSTAINABLE SALON FEE
I have partnered with sustainable salons to ensure that I recycle and dispose of 95% of all waste produced in the hair salon. This keeps chemicals out of the water, foils out of the landfill and turns human hair into an ethical, sustainable and safe way to soak up oil spills.

COME ALONE
Please no extra people. The studio is small which doesn’t leave a lot of room for friends, family or kids.

PETS

I have my dog side kick sometime, so unfortunately no other pets are allowed (if you have a fear of dogs please inform me when booking)
